How to correct spelling mistakes in charting.
Introduction
Clinical documentation may be automatically checked for spelling errors based upon a dictionary that includes comment medical and health care terms. Acceptable custom words and phrases may also be added to the dictionary. When charting, the system will automatically indicate misspellings and suggest corrections.
General Options
Options for automatic correction of spelling errors may be selected here. You may elect to ignore certain spelling errors, such as abbreviations.
Adding a Term to the Dictionary
If a term is not in the dictionary, you may add it to your dictionary as indicated here, so that it will not prompt someone else to correct the spelling of the same word in the future.
