Trading Partner Setup

Clinicient uses a clearinghouse trading partner to connect to hundreds of payers through one secure network for claims processing and payment processing. In order to submit claims through the clearinghouse, you must set up a Trading Partner in Billing.

Before you set up a Trading Partner, you will need to create a folder on your computer. See this article for detailed information on Electronic Billing Setup.

  1. Log in to Insight Billing.
  2. From the Settings menu, select Payers and then Trading Partners.
  3. Launch the Trading Partners Editor by selecting Payers and then Trading Partners from the Settings menu.
  4. Select Add to enter a new Trading Partner.
  1. Complete the fields using the screen shots below as a guide. Fields left blank in the screen shot below may should also be left blank in your database until you receive further instruction.

    Note: The file extensions used in the Claims File Name field depend on the type of claim you are submitting, so can be .clp, .cli, or .txt.

  2. Once you have successfully completed the fields, click Save and then Close.
