Password Reset

All Insight users must have their own log in credentials. In support of HIPAA requirements, user credentials are created for and intended to be used by one unique individual, and sharing usernames or passwords is prohibited for any reason. User accounts are not to be shared among multiple users or used by people other than the named user.

Note: Clinicient staff cannot enter new staff records, reset passwords, or unlock users. These activities must be performed by the user or your clinic's administrative staff.

If the user has an email address registered in the staff record, they can reset their own password by following these steps.

  1. Go to https://insight.clinicient.com/Security/login
  2. At the bottom of the page, click the button for Forgot password? to reset your INSIGHT password, or Forgot username? to find your username.

If the user does not have a valid email address set in his/her staff record, a clinic user with administrative permissions must reset the password following the steps below.

  1. Open the Edit menu and select Staff.
  2. Select the user whose password needs to be reset.
  3. Click Reset Password at the top of the window.

  4. The user's password will be set to "changeme", and they will be prompted to create a new password the next time they log in.

If the user is locked out, a clinic user with administrative permissions can unlock the user. To unlock a user:

  1. Open the Edit menu and select Staff.
  2. Select the user whose password needs to be reset.
  3. Click Unlock.

Users will also be unlocked automatically when they reset their password.

If all of these steps fail, please contact Clinicient Support using the Empower Live Chat or by calling 503-525-0275.
