Troubleshoot Attachments
This topic provides instructions for fixing common attachment issues.

If multi-page TIFF or JPEG files are unreadable past the first page
TIFF and JPEG files are image file types, and thus do not contain page breaks. As a result, scanning or uploading a multi-page TIFF or JPEG results in all subsequent pages being corrupt. Also, INSIGHT automatically compresses files larger than 1 MB to conserve server space, which lowers image quality.
There are several ways to try to correct this issue:
- Solution 1: Save the file as a PDF and then attach the document in INSIGHT.
- Solution 2: Attach multiple files as one document. Scan and save the pages as separate documents outside of INSIGHT. You can then attach one document and append the additional page files to it.

Unable to delete an attachment in the Client Editor
This can happen when a patient has multiple cases. To edit, move, or delete attachments for a particular case, you must first select the correct case.
On the Case Information tab, click the case that the attachment is associated with.
In the Attachments tab, INSIGHT only displays attachments that are related to the current case. If you have not chosen a case (by clicking on the case in the Case Information tab), then the display defaults to the most recently added case.
In the Attachments tab, if you select Show Documents for All Cases, then you will be able to see all attachments for all cases. However, you will not be able to edit, move, or delete attachments that are related to other cases.

Screen freezes when you open the Manage Attachments window (attachments appear off-screen)
If your screen appears to freeze when you click or double-click an attachment in the Attachments tab, then the Manage Attachments window has probably opened off-screen. The system seems to be frozen because you cannot click anything until the window is closed.
To resolve this issue, log into INSIGHT on a computer with multiple screens. Click to open the Manage Attachments window. Drag the window to the center of the main screen and then close the Manage Attachments window.
To prevent this from happening, make sure that the Manage Attachments window is in the center of the main INSIGHT screen when you close it.
