
FOTO Integration
FOTO (Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes®) is a web-based patient assessment system that reports primary functional status measures for your patient. If you use FOTO, then you can begin an episode directly from INSIGHT.
This task is part of entering a new case for a patient. See Enter Basic Case Information for more information.

Activate FOTO integration in INSIGHT
FOTO integration is available to all Total INSIGHT, INSIGHT Plus, INSIGHT, and Practice INSIGHT clients that have FOTO accounts.
- Contact FOTO to obtain your API key, API Passphrase (if set up for your account), FOTO Clinician ID (for each therapist) and Clinic Alias for each of your clinics.
- Contact Clinicient Support to have the FOTO integration enabled. We will need the FOTO API key and your clinic pass phrase (if you have one).
- Work with Clinicient to test the integration.
- Open INSIGHT EMR.
- Enter FOTO Clinician ID in the FOTO Account field in the appropriate supervisor staff records.

- Open the Clinic Settings window: Settings > Company and Clinic Info.
- Enter the Clinic Alias you obtained from FOTO in the FOTO Clinic ID field.
- Click OK.
- Repeat steps 6-8 for each clinic listed in the Clinic Setting window.

Create a new FOTO episode
These instructions assume that FOTO integration has already been set up for your clinic as described in the previous section.
- If the patient is not already in the system, then Add a New Client Record.
- If the patient does not have a case, then Enter Basic Case Information to create a case for the patient.
- In the Supervisor field on the Case Information tab, click a supervisor with FOTO credentials assigned in INSIGHT. The FOTO button is unavailable until this condition is met.
Warning: Be sure that the supervisor meets all credentialing and cosigning requirements.

Note: If you attempted to create a FOTO case already, then the button might be a different color.
- Enter information in the Send Case to FOTO dialog box. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
- Click Send. INSIGHT opens the new FOTO episode in your main browser. Finish entering information and create the FOTO case as you usually do.
FOTO button states
The color of the FOTO button means different things:

Send updated information to FOTO
If you update patient or case information in INSIGHT, then click to resend data to FOTO. This follows the same process as above. FOTO determines whether the data is new or an update of an existing patient or episode and updates the episode accordingly.
