Voided Charge List

The Voided Charges list allows you to view all voided charges from one screen, then edit or reprocess the charges as needed.

To access the list:

  1. Log in to Insight Billing.
  2. From the Billing menu, select Voided Charges.
  3. Select the Charges Voided on drop down menu to set a date range. The start and end dates automatically change based on the date range you select.
  4. Optional: You can also manually select a Voided Date Start and Voided Date End. Note: when you do this the Charges Voided on drop down menu automatically changes to Custom.
  5. Select Display Voided Charges.

The tables below provide detailed information columns and buttons available in the Voided Charges list.

Column Name Description
Select Check box that allows you to select and deselect the specific charge.
Patient Patient's full name.
Clinic Clinic where the service was performed.
Service Date Displays the date of service and time associated with the charge.
CPT CPT code used for the charge.
Units Number of units charged.
Voided By Name of staff member who voided the charge.
Voided On Date the charge was voided.
Reprocessed? Check box that indicates whether or not the charge has been reprocessed.
Reprocessed Units Number of units that charged when the claim was reprocessed. A blank indicates the charge has not been reprocessed.
Visit Status Status of the visit (Arrived, No Show, Signed).
Visit Has Charges Check box that indicates whether or not the visit resulted in charges.
Claim # Claim number.
Claim Status Indicates the status of the claim. Each status has a corresponding category on the Claims tab. If there is no claim status, the charge was voided prior to a claim being created.
Button Name Description
  Closes the Voided Charges list.
Close Selects all charges displayed. If charges were already processed or are not associated with a visit, they are not selected.
Select All Reprocesses the charges selected.
Reprocess Selected Opens the Claim Editor for you to view the selected claim. You can only use this button if a claim has been generated. If you select a charge that has not been claimed, a warning message displays.
View Claim Opens the Case Information tab on the Client Editor.
View Reprocessed Claim Opens the Claim Editor for you to view the selected claim. You can only use this button if a claim has been reprocessed. If you select a charge that has not been claimed, a warning message displays.
Excel Opens the Save As window and allows you to save the voided charges list in Excel format.
